Asian Demographics specialises in the collection, analysis and modeling of demographic data to provide a perspective of the demographic future of Asia.

Dr. C. R. Laurent

Clint Laurent is an Executive Director and Chief Technical Officer of Asian Demographics Ltd.

He has considerable experience in the Market Research Industry of Asia. In 1989 he founded Asia Market Intelligence Ltd which is a full service market research company operating throughout the region. He sold out to management that he brought into that company in order to develop a company which focused on higher value analysis and reporting - namely Asia Studies Ltd. This is a market research company also operating Asia Region wide - with a focus on offering superior analysis and reporting. He sold that Company to Wirthlin Worldwide in 1996. He started Asian Demographics in 1995.

He has a PhD in Marketing and Statistics from Bath University in the UK and a Master's Degree in Commerce from Victoria University, Wellington New Zealand.

Mr. Ross Burgess

Ross Burgess is CEO for Asian Demographics.

Ross has lived and worked in Asia for the past 15 years residing at various times in Hong Kong, Tokyo and Singapore. During this time Ross has held positions in consumer marketing, strategic planning and corporate affairs. Ross has worked primarily in regional roles and has first hand experience in both the developing and developed markets of Asia.
Currently residing in Sydney, Ross has degrees in both business and literature and continues to spend significant time in the various markets of Asia.

Dr Susan Ward
[CEO and Director of Asian Demographics HealthCare]


Asian Demographics HealthCare provides industry specific data bases, reports and bespoke services to Biopharmaceutical and Healthcare companies in order that the growing potential in Asia can be utilised Clients include multinational Pharmaceutical companies, biotech companies and investment agencies.

Dr Susan Ward, CEO and Director of Asian Demographics HealthCare, has more than 8 years experience of the Asian Healthcare and Pharmaceutical sector. Combining this experience and a keen interest in modeling techniques to determine market potential, she provides the essential industry specific knowledge for clients.

Dr Ward holds a medical degree from University College in London, a Masters in Public Health and Tropical Medicine from James Cook University, Australia and the Sloan Masters MBA from the London Business School. She is an Honorary Lecturer at Hong Kong University.

Yuwa Hedrick-Wong, Ph.D.
[Chief strategist and Director Asian ForeSights

Dr. Yuwa Hedrick-Wong is a business strategist and economist with 20 years of experience gained in over thirty countries. He is a Canadian who grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia, and spent the last 20 years working in Europe, Sub-Sahara Africa, and Asia/ Pacific. He has served as strategy advisor to over thirty Fortune 500 companies in the Asia/Pacific region. Since 2001, Dr Hedrick-Wong as served as economic advisor to MasterCard International in Asia/Pacific.

As chief strategist for Asian ForeSights Yuwa works with clients on specific needs which include monitoring and forecasting economic growth and emerging business development trends in the region. In this capacity, he also assists in devising market entry strategies, addressing public policy challenges, analysing business impacts of demographic and lifestyle changes, and assessing market-specific business development potential and constraints.
In order to tap deeper local knowledge and market-specific insights, Yuwa chairs a knowledge panel of leading economists, policy analysts and business strategists in Asia/Pacific, with members including experts from China, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia, for regular discussions and exchange of perspectives and knowledge sharing.

As a student of philosophy, political science, economics and history, Yuwa studied at Trent University, University of British Columbia, and Simon Fraser University in Canada. He received further post-graduate training in health economics, energy and resource economics, and scenario forecast and planning.

Yuwa is a frequent commentator on TV and in the media on current economic, policy and business issues in Asia Pacific, and a published author in economic development and international relations. He is also Visiting Professor, School of Management, Fudan University, Shanghai, China.

Brigitte Holtschneider
[General Manager South East Asia]


Brigitte Holtschneider is a permanent resident of Singapore and has worked across a number of Asian countries, in addition to gaining extensive experience in both Western and Eastern Europe.

Brigitte's skills and knowledge stretch across a number of business disciplines including Finance and Administration, Sales and Marketing, Project Management and new business set-ups, particularly in Central Asia and Russia. Most recently, Brigitte has been involved in Strategic Planning, Business Development, M&A Analysis and General Management activities in Asia.

With a Master of Economics, Brigitte brings a breadth and depth of experience to our Singapore operations.
